Each week, I compile interesting links I’ve read and list them here on Saturdays. You can read the ABDPBT, ABDPBT Personal Finance, and ABDPBT Commodity Fetishism versions at your leisure as well. As always, If you have a suggestion for a link I should check out, please send me an email and I’ll check it out before next week.

  • What makes an effective Twitter Background? Smashing Magazine has an article about how to do just that, including the dimensions to use for your images. I’m inspired to revamp my own Twitter page, which just doesn’t quite work yet.
  • I rather enjoyed this post on handling criticism online at CopyBlogger. People can be so, so rude online in their criticism, but reacting often inflames the situation and doesn’t accomplish anything anyway. Taking the viewpoint that your critics are your “customers,” and that the “customer is always right,” even when the customer is a crazy hateful shrew, can go a long way towards dealing with criticism in a way that benefits you. As opposed to, say, making a creepy video that repeats the words “SHINGLES!” over and over again, which kind of is like throwing lighter fluid on the fire. Just saying.
  • From WPShout, here’s a list of 10 useful WordPress code snippets. You can use these to customize your site and put in new features, just as soon as you get used to using Open Hook for Thesis.
