Am I afraid to dress my preschooler in rain boots that look like dinosaurs? No, I am most certainly not afraid. I figure I have one, maybe two more years left of this, tops.
I know, I know — I am always putting lunchboxes on here. What can I say? There are a lot of cute lunchboxes out there. But I finally bought this one for Mini last week after I decided the Stegosaurus one I got last year had seen better days. Mini is still fond of dinosaurs, […]
Mini loves robots. Loves them. I’m not sure that it means he will love vegetables if I let him eat them with these Chow Bots Utensils, but it might be worth a try.
Ever since we went to Disneyland, Mini’s been into pirates. I’m really not sure how I feel about this, but what am I going to do, fight against a questionable cultural institution? Much easier to just shut my ears, ignore the news coming out of Somalia, and tacitly endorse it with this cute little Pirate […]
OK, so here’s what happened: Mini and Mr. Right-Click were at the park one day, and some kids were playing with a Stomp Rocket. And lo, they saw that the Stomp Rocket was good. Because this is a a magical toy that is able to act as not just a toy, but a pied piper […]
I find making Mini’s lunches really challenging. For one thing, he doesn’t eat much beyond a few different combinations of bread and cheese. For another, the few things he likes beyond those variations of cheese and bread combinations are considered contraband at school: peanut butter, any kind of dried fruit product, Cheetos. So basically, I’m […]
Mini went through a period about six months ago where he would wake up at the first sign of light and come into our bedroom and announce, “It’s morning!” We’d then tell him that, yes, 3:37 am was technically morning, but that we were still sleeping, and that he needed to go back into his […]
Avast ye mateys, it’s bath time! Mini is going to FREAK when he sees this Pirate Hooded Towel. I’m going to save the discussion about the problematics of using a pirate as a unexamined character type for children’s games, movies, costumes, and activities for at least one more year. Maybe two.
Another cool thing from Fred & Friends: the Chewdriver Utensil Set is crazy cute and good for those little ones who are always trying to fix things for you.
The idea behind the PlanetBox lunchboxes is that the compartmentalized tray will allow you to avoid using more containers or plastic bags, making it easier to clean up and easier on the environment. Mostly, I just think they make lunches look cool, though. (Via Another Lunch.)
