I so was busy taking screenshots all afternoon of the big Twitter showdown between Dooce and Sundry for my ABDPBT Personal Finance post of this morning that I’ve got nothing for you here. So what I’m saying is, go over to Personal Finance and weigh in on who will protect Maytag from Dooce. We’ll be back to the heartwarming stories on parenting and evading jury service next week.
Hey there, ABDPBT readers, just a little administrative announcement here: Commodity Fetishism is now more than just an ABDPBT post category, it’s got its own blog. Check out our new digs at ABDPBT Commodity Fetishism for the latest product recommendations and (this is the new part) reverse recommendations, where I tell you what you should not buy (look for black and white photographs). Though the new feed will mostly new products, I’ll be slowly migrating previous commodity fetishism posts over there, so if you’ve missed anything you’ll be able to catch it as a rerun. Also, please check out the ABDPBT Commodity Fetishism about page for an explanation of my review policy (I pick what I want to review), and the compensation involved (there isn’t any). Enjoy!
I figure the weekend is as good a time as any to direct your attention to a newish feature here at ABDPBT : the “Spy on my Google Reader” feature. If you look at the tabs at the top of the page, you’ll notice I’ve added a link to a page where you can see my favorites from Google Reader in a variety of topics. [Incidentally, if you're still not using RSS feeds, please read this post and get on the train, my luddite friend.] Most people will not really care about this stuff. But if you’re looking for some interesting stuff to read, or pretty stuff to get inspiration, or just want to buy me gifts, there’s sure to be something there to tickle your fancy. [Note to Chicken Liver : That last thing was a joke, I don't really expect my readers to buy me gifts. It's a feature I installed specifically for the benefit of Mr. Right-Click.] Basically, the categories are updated every day, provided I get to my reading and find something worth sharing. So keep checking back. And if you have a category you’re wondering about, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email to suggest it.
