La Chasse Aux Papillons by L’Artisan Parfumeur

by anna on July 25, 2008

I first sampled La Chasse Aux Papillons (roughly idiomatically translated as “catching butterflies”) at Henri Bendel in New York City when Mr. Right-Click and I were out there visiting his family. I fell in love with it right away. This is a floral scent, with notes that include orange and lemon tree blossom, jasmine, and most importantly, tuberose. I like it because it smells clean and reminds me of springtime, but without the allergies. Also, it is unusual enough so that people do not go, “Oh, that’s Clinique Happy,” or “I notice that you are a Calyx fan” when you walk through the door–instead, they say, “What perfume is that? It smells so . . . PRETTY!”
