It is fairly easy to find Kerastase products in the US these days, but this wasn’t always the case. My first introduction to L’Oreal’s upscale line of hair products was provided by my old college roommate, who lived in the South of France when she wasn’t at school. By “at school,” I mean in this case “staying up all night in a tiny apartment, snorting cocaine and writing lists about ‘colorful family legends and folklore.’” Tanya (this is not her real name but my peeps from back in the day will not be in confusion about to whom I’m referring) should rightfully be at the center of an entire blogosphere of her own, but my purposes today are to discuss Kerastase, a product line she knew about way before the rest of us because of her hometown.
Kerastase Serum Nutri-Sculpt is a silicone serum–arguably the first and best silicone serum–that smooths your hair and makes it shiny, but more importantly, will temporarily rebond the split ends of your hair so that you don’t look so scraggly. Tanya generously gave me a bottle of it she had brought with her from France and I’ve been a fan ever since. The smell is fantastic, and though it is more expensive than some of the other brands of hair serum, it is well worth it.
