Reusable Swiffer Wet Jet Pad Thingies

Reusable Swiffer Wet Jet Pad Thingies

Hey look at this: you guys know that I’m really not all that into hippy dippy green stuff, but I *am* pretty keen on stuff that keeps you from having to continually buy expensive stuff at Target to keep your house clean. I found these custom made reusable Wet Jet Pads on Etsy the other day, and this seems like a way better option than buying new packs of the disposable kind every few weeks, particularly since the packs of disposables cost more than two of these reusable ones!

I am totally into the hippy dippy green stuff, but it started out because of money savings. Anyway, several Etsy sellers make reusable dusters for the Swiffer duster, too! http://www.etsy.com/listing/56270051/set-of-2-swiffer-refill-fleece-washable?ref=sr_list_1&ga_search_query=swiffer%2Bduster&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_shopname=DetroitKnitter

I keep meaning to make some of these, but then again, my time is worth something too so maybe I will just Etsy this one….

I’m willing to try these too, I mop everyday, so I’m throwing a lot of money away. Thanks.

  4. LOL at ‘hippy dippy’! I have wood floors and a cat. I dry mop all the time. I feel guilty every time I put Swiffer cloths in my shopping cart. If I knew how to sew, I’d be all over this.

I can’t sew, but my husband can, so I’ve been nagging him about making something like this for the Swiffer. I figured I had two options: learn how to sew or make my husband do the work. I’m not sure why I couldn’t see the obvious third option. I immediately ordered these off etsy after reading your post. My husband will be so happy.
