Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas For Men

Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas For Men

Valentine’s Day is rapidly approaching, and if you want to avoid actually going to a store to buy a gift (like I do), you’re going to have to get off your tuchus pretty quickly and track something down for your significant other. Here are some ideas for male gift giving if you’re stuck.

1. Authentic Major League Baseball Cufflinks

I hate baseball, but a lot of men seem to like it. These cufflinks are made from balls that were, ostensibly, used in a real life MLB game. They even send some kind of BS means of authenticating with the cufflinks! Should be good for a few conversations around the watercooler, if nothing else.

2. 5 Very Good Reasons to Punch a Dolphin in the Mouth (And Other Useful Guides) [Available for Preorder]

the oatmeal book

This is the first book based on the popular website The Oatmeal, and even if your guy is not a regular reader, there’s a good chance he’ll find it funny. Unless he’s totally humorless, of course, in which case, why are you with him anyway?

3. Sneaker Customization Kit

The JGoods Sneaker Customization Kit comes with 20 preparation wipes, 5 jars of waterproof leather paint, a mixing jar, a paintbrush, an instruction booklet and a canvas carrying case — everything you need to paint your old shoes into something decidedly more interesting. Or at least more colorful.

4. Homage T-Shirts

These Homage T-shirts are the perfect combination of snotty hipster ironic screen prints and soft faux vintage cotton. He will love them. Trust me.

5. Personalized Collar Stays

Because a man can never have enough collar stays. He just can’t.

6. Happy Socks

The Happy Socks brand has been around for a while now, but they’ve recently been expanding it in even more impressive ways, including a box set of Giles Deacon Happy Socks that are being sold to benefit the Elton John Aids Foundation. A few pairs of the cashmere ones should do the trick, though.

7. A Key Fob With Your Kids’ Artwork On It

Have your child’s favorite drawing engraved on a key fob so he’ll always feel close to home.
