My Interview With An Unnamed Soda Company

Actually, my “biggest piece of advice” for bloggers just getting started was that they not write about any of these companies unless they were getting paid to do so. So this is me, sort of not following that advice.

So first of all, I love this because my husband is a Pepsi employee, and aside from the fact that all their extra money should be in *our* pocket, Pepsi Refresh and the 5G Network are really great ideas. Secondly, I think your interview was good and you’ve got that look-at-the-interviewer-but-also-at-the-camera thing going on. Very reality show…more Bravo than HGTV, I would say.

You were very, very articulate. That is so hard to do, especially on camera. Nice.
Also, you’re gorgeous! If I didn’t already like you, I’d hate you for having such a great face to go with your great mind. But I love you instead. So there.

Nice job Anna–but do they know you’re infiltrating from the enemy (soda) camp?

All kidding aside, you did a wonderful job of articulating your site and your POV–and as a bonus you got some great points in on your site name (which, maybe hearing it will help people remember it better?).

Honestly, I think I must be the only person on earth who doesn’t find the site name to be hard to say/remember. They spent well over a minute of your three-minute timeslot on what the name means. I’m pretty sure the people who make far more delicious pop that comes in silver cans wouldn’t have done that.

Well you just crack me up all the time. I don’t know if that is the point of your posts, to crack people up all the time (actually I rarely know how to take you at all) but there you have it. 9 times out of 10 I leave your blog feeling smarter…and having had a good laugh.

Thanks! I was sorry I didn’t meet you at BlogHer.

I thought it was cool that you just went with the flow when the interviewer made the unlikely connection between what you said about pretzel brain twist being a state of mind you get in when obsessing about guys and the frazzled state of mind one typically has as a new mom. It was like she had to get the Mom angle in there somehow and it was kind of embarrassing but you just said “yes” and nodded your head like it was a totally related point and not the stupidest thing you ever heard. Nice.

Great job! Glad you can be transparent about the “do as I say, not as I do” mom mentality.
