My 3 Top Picks From New ABDPBT Sponsor, The Vintage Pearl

Today I’m excited to introduce a new ABDPBT sponsor, The Vintage Pearl, an online purveyor of fine, beautiful, and surprisingly affordable hand-stamped keepsake jewelry and other silver and stainless steel goods. Their styles are particularly appealing to moms, since you can customize with the names of your children, and add different charms as you add new family members to your collection, but they also have several choices for you singletons as well. Below I’ve listed some of my favorite choices from The Vintage Pearl‘s collection, and I hope you’ll head over there and check them out when you get a chance.

  1. Layered Mother of Pearl Neckace.

I really love the look of this Layered Mother of Pearl Necklace. Sadly, the Viele family has a few too many layers for this to be realistic, but I think that this necklace would be lovely for people whose families are less, you know Californian. I could pull it off if we could slice it in half, cut up all of its assets, hyphenate its last names, and arrange visitations for its progeny. And arrange for therapy for everyone. Maybe. What was I talking about? Oh yeah. The necklace — it’s pretty, isn’t it?
  2. Circle Chain Bracelet

I’m thinking about buying this Circle Chain bracelet for Travis, who had the audacity to suggest to me the other day — right in the middle of a particularly rigorous bout of stairmaster training (on the actual stairs kind of stairmaster, that actually look like stairs, not the cheating kind, that don’t look like stairs) — that there was no difference between Barack Obama and George W. Bush. I think he will love it.
  3. Baby Spoons

These baby spoons would make a great gift for a baby shower, and are a great spin on the overpriced Tiffany spoons that nobody ever gets engraved anyway. At only $18 each, you could get more than one, and people would actually feel like they could use them! I also love the fonts.

I love the first necklace too, although for my family it would not be a fit at all. It’s gorgeous though.

My husband has a cousin who is having a baby in about two months, and I am probably going to buy one of those spoons. Those are just perfect.

LOVE the baby spoons, and yes, the fonts. Sometimes the handstamped things look…well, handstamped. But those are stylish.

I loved this new sponsor and have already picked out something to treat myself with soon (http://www.thevintagepearl.com/products/alayeredcircleoflove_p59). Also, I find the stamped spoons awesome because it’s seriously old school and completely in keeping with Asian cultures. My whole family was born in India (my sister and I included, we moved when I was 2) and since all dinnerware is stainless steel/metal there, we have tons of glasses/forks/spoons with our various names and birth dates etched on them. It may not seem as immediately practical as a gift card, but I love pulling a glass out of the cupboard and seeing my name or my parents’ names (!!) and birthdays etched along with the name of the person who gave it to us. They have lasted forever (my dad was born in ’45).

I love the new sponsor! I have a second granddaughter on the way from my stepdaughter, but she and he husband haven’t settled on a name yet. As soon as she chooses it, I’m ordering the spoon(s) and one for the eldest who is two.
    Thank you.
