Garden of Eden Salt & Pepper Shakers By Jonathan Adler
WHOA. The semiotics of this is enough TO BLOW YOUR MIND. Because if the apple is salt, and the snake is pepper, then that means that nobody would ever know about how good salt is, if it weren’t for the evil genius of pepper. And then, after you’ve had the salt, you cannot go back, and there’s nobody to blame except for pepper, who is slithering away back into the garden, but then you never liked him anyway. Salt, lovely salt — my post-lapsarian bliss!
