Blackbird Pie Vent
Listen, I’m not much for pies. But I would guess that, were I big for pies, I’d love this thing. The idea is, you put this into a pie before you put it in the oven, and during baking, the steam from the inside of the pie escapes throgh the bird’s beak, and you end up without a cracked crust or stuff leaking over the side. Please do not ask me what you do to get the bird out before serving because I don’t know — I’m guessing you just leave it in there and it serves as a cute conversation piece? Bueller?
