You guys probably already know about Mabel’s Labels, since they’ve gotten a lot of good press on the interwebs, and many of you have already had kids in school for a while now. But since I’ve never really needed them before, I didn’t try them out until Mini started school, and I have to say that they are awesome. The deal is this: you tell them what name to put on the label (ie just your kid’s first name, or first and last name or whatever), pick a motif (it was a toss-up between the train and the dinosaur for us), and pick a color scheme. There are several different sizes and shapes of labels for the various stuff you need to label when a kid starts school. I got the back-to-school variety pack, which comes with some small labels, some medium, about ten shoe/sippy cup labels, and two tag labels (pictured). I’ve used all of them already, and have to order more. But they are fantastic — they don’t come off in the wash, or in the dishwasher, or from just wear-and-tear. Cool!
